O PROXECTO

Benvido a unha viaxe polo pasado e o presente do Camiño Portugués da Costa. Convidámoste a percorrer esta ruta xacobea a través do seu trazado, pero tamén da súa memoria.

Mediante a confrontación de imaxes antigas e fotografías actuais, teremos a oportunidade de comprobar os cambios experimentados nas vilas e cidades incluídas neste Camiño, tomar conciencia da súa evolución e reflexionar acerca da necesidade de preservar o seu pasado. Porque o territorio é relato vivo da historia.

A conservación do patrimonio, a desaparición de antigas construcións e a creación de novas infraestruturas fálannos da orixe e da evolución destes lugares e as súas xentes, amosándonos a súa historia e escribindo novos capítulos sobre o recordo dos antigos.

Co obxectivo de realizar unha comparativa o máis fiel posible e poder apreciar os cambios que a pegada do tempo marcou na ruta, todas as fotografías actuais están tomadas respectando, na medida do posible debido ao tecido actual do territorio, a perspectiva orixinal das imaxes históricas.

THE PROJECT

Welcome to a journey through the past and present along the Portuguese Coastal Way. We invite you to travel along the route of this Way, and through its memories.

By comparing old pictures and present-day photographs, we will be able to see how the towns and villages along the Way have changed, understand how they have evolved, and reflect on the need to preserve their past. Because the area is a living depiction of history.

The preservation of its heritage, the disappearance of old buildings and the creation of new infrastructure all tell us of the origins and the development of these places and its people, showing us their history and writing new chapters based on older ones.

To make the most accurate comparison possible and be able to grasp the changes along the route left by the footprints of time, all the present-day photos were taken from the same viewpoint as the older pictures, as far as possible given the current state of the area.
